Well, at least it wasn't a cool color wrap that got ruined. I know there are plenty of people that like this wrap, but to me, the only place for those colors is one, at the bowling alley, on a round thing, called a bowling ball...I just despise the color...a personal thing, ya know?

What great timing! I've been meaning to post this in the Restoration forum, but I just couldn't resist. Round, you mention "a little" elbow grease? I recently came across a couple of drums that were surplussed by a local junior high school. One is a 10x14 olive-badge Ludwig snare and a script badge Rogers WMP 9x13 tom. On the Rogers tom, a large spot has been spray painted with black spray paint then a small square painted over that with some kind of white paint, then black numbers painted over THAT. The Luddy snare just had some small white letters (name of the school) painted over its silver sparkle wrap just under the top hoop. If my experience with that snare is any indication, I am in for a LOT of elbow grease removing the paint on the Rogers tom! In fact, I don't know if I can even do it without ruining the wrap. I'm not sure what kind of paint is on your tom, but I certainly hope it's easier to remove then the paint that is on mine! Do you or anyone else know of a good way to remove paint from a wrap? My searches for a solution thus far have come up empty handed. My apologies for butting in on this thread. FWIW, It would be cool to have an entire set like your tom! Maybe if most people feel the way Jonn feels about it then someday I could pick a set up for cheap! Sorry Jonn!

But don't these look like those MIJ kits you collect? Laughing H ha ha just had to take a little jab since I own a '76 Ludwig OBP kit.
