I got a 16" 375th anniversary A crash in a trade last week and was wondering if anyone knows the value of these cymbals? At only 1623 produced it seems like a pretty rare collectors item, this one is #422. But are they really sought after much since there is no difference soundwise between the anniversary model and all the other As?
Zildjian 375th Anniversary
i'm bumping this old post as i'm curious on how many are out there, how many were produced, were these promos to dealers only or if they were sold and what the value is for a regular cymbal.
i worked at a music store in 1998 and my old boss gave me one (not signed) which i should of kept. i now have one signed by armand that was given to my old boss who worked for a drum company as a artist rep.
of course the signature now bumps up the value alot since he's now passed. but just wondering who else has one.
have you tried CymbalHolics?
On Ebay, it was listed at $149. I'm not sure about the value.
How are they figuring 375 years? I thought Zildjian had company records going back closer to 600 years.
"since 1623" they always say..................
Well,,,,, let's do the mathAs of now, 2011 - 1623 = 388I'd like to know where these "600 year old records" areI'll stick with what Zildjian tells me
We're fortunate to have several Forum members that know a heckuva lot more about Zildjian cymbals and their history than the current lineup at Zildjian.
We also have a member that is considered by many to be the world's foremost authority on Zildjian history.
He dropped by in Post #4.
