my drums are special every time i take a seat behind them and let them take me to that special place we all like to go. Keep on Pl
Great answer!!!!!
He Drums Too> that was a great answer. Hey Bunnyman, I guess being on this site made me more responsible because I am trying to get Mike McCraw to make me a retroplate for my Gretsch COB so I don't have to drill it so I can have my Trick gs007. Having your cake and eating it too... Hmmm

There were just too many issues with that parade drum that made drilling to fit the Trick strainer way too easy. Guess I shoulda contacted Mike...
I found out about him just like this forum. By accident. I got that set of Slingy's and now I have new friends. LOL! The world is good.

I may be even performing more sacrilege- I am thinking of getting an acrylic shell to replace that maple one on my Slingy parade drum.
The warm bassy sound of my Premier kit's 22" bass drum :)
Also, the added Gretsch 10" tom, it's all jungle-y :D
mine are special to me for a lot of reasons...the biggest being that they were set out to rot on the street curb, then found their way to me.
Much cleaning and attention later, they are a member of the family now.D' Drummer
They're mine!!!
The great Dave Mattacks had a nice story in last month's Drumhead magazine. The story is on page 19. Bonham loves The Fairport Convention and invites Dave over his house. Jason Bonham, age 9 is playing along to Fairport records from a jukebox. It's cool. Dave then asks John Bonham what the hell is going on with the Crunge. It's in 9, but, he doesn't put the 1 with the bass drum, it's the snare. Bonham sits down on Jason's mini set, 18 bass or 16, and 10/12 toms. Bonham lays it out and Dave is blown away. Bonham can get his sound from any kind of drum set up. The sound is him. That was the start, for Dave, that the good players carry their sound.
Now, for us mortals, get that killer kit!
