This really pains me, but...I need to part with my beautiful Dayton WMP drumset. The 20,12,14 (floor tom with straight leg mount) and 14 (matching WMP) snare drum all have time period correct hardware. The only exception, I had to replace 3 knobby collet pieces with JMP3 reproductions. Very minor and original ones can be found. The finish is beautiful and stunning, even, after 40 years. No modifications at all on these drums. Badges and inside tags on all drums. That's the easy part..

The 16 inch floor tom (knobby leg mount) has been "operated" on. (All before my ownership) When I received the tom, the inside was not grey, it was brown with a lacquer finish. The Cleveland tag was still there. I opened the tom up and it looked like, to me, that at some point the original tom lugs (could have been bread and butter lugs) had been taken off and either beavertail lugs or worse, another company's drum lugs were put on. Then, beavertail lugs were put back on. The strange part, the WMP finish is original to this drum. I have spent the time to make sure that this tom has all the time period correct hardware. I also had the inside painted Rogers grey. It still has it's original Cleveland tag. That being said, the tom looks and sounds perfect with this drumset.

I have used this set live and in the studio and it's amazing. I do not want to sell this set.

Price...I was thinking $1200, plus shipping for the 20,12,14 and 14 snare drum and $100 for the 16 floor tom. I would like to keep the set sold together, but, if someone wanted the 20/12/14/14 and not the 16. I would sell the 16 on ebay.

I would like some honest feedback on my pricing for my drums and how I'm describing them. I can take more pictures and please, ask as many questions as you want. A sad little Super B for sure...

ps I have sold on this forum before and it went great. I would like to ask permission first to use that forum member's name

Yes you did. I didn't want to use your name until I talked to you. From my end, it went great.

Yep, me too – I can vouch for super b – fast ship, well packed. Top guy!

Btw: your rogers kit is stunning – I have the same set but black oynx.

Seems like a very fair price.

Hi,

From looking at the pic, it seems that the 14" floor tom leg mount is not the usual mount, are the floor tom leg mounts original?

Yes, the mount is original to that drum. But, you are correct it's not a knobby mount (which is pointed out in the first post). The original owner had this mount put on, not, the knobby mount. I think..I wasn't there, I wasn't born yet. But, there was an option for this mount. Thanks for checking it out.
