anyone know what make/model this snare is please?

had it over 20 years and always thought it was a premier but now not sure!!

date i think early 60's ?

Looks like a Premier to me. It has the slotted tension rods and Premier Lugs.

The muffler knob looks Premier. I wonder what happened to the badge?

never had one since i got it,, was passed down in the family, sounds so crisp and has a lovely rim shot to it!

any idea on the year please??

Yours should be an Olympic (by Premier) snare drum.

It's the 'De luxe model 1002' (if it is fiveandahalf inches deep).

Built in 1966.

You can find it in one of these catalogues (1966, page 5):

Premier Olympic mid to late 60's.

Hoops may not be original.

Olympic was still using the type that had the folded top flange (vs modern curved).

Badge would have been a sticker which explains why it's no longer there.

Hey Diamond, I have the same snare same W.M.P. color..I paid 25.00 for it about 20 years ago...I would say today maybe 100.00-125.00 U.S ...Mikey
