Around 1mm-2mm is enough to glue?

I've never measured it, but yes probably in that range, I use the screwdrivers to spread open the separation then with another screwdriver force the glue into the opening.

Here are after pics of the finished shell it turned out really well, this is one of the most in round shells Radio king wise that I've owned or personally seen. Now to find those elusive parts for this bugger.

Beautiful. Can't wait to see it with the hardaware. I am going to check out that scratch removal system. I have a couple of spots on some drums that they would benefit from. Novus polishing system. Is that a kit?
