Last Night

Got a chance to play out last night for the first time in quite a while. Had a great time.Excited

I decided to use my Slingy Red Tiger kit. The kit was extremely tight. The drummer on the other hand needs some work!

Things always seem so much classier with a shirt and tie too, glad you had fun, did people dance?.............yes?......then you're probably not as rusty as you think.

Will you do it again?

Super 400 small round knob

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

That kit looks cool, and I don't usually comment much but the first thing that came to mind in the 3rd picture was, "The most interesting man in the world"

He doesn't always play drums but when he does he prefers, "El, Slingerland."

It doesn't matter what key he plays in or what drum he hits, the crowd will always dance.

THANKS for the comments, fellas!

lucky: I can assure you that the kit looks much better than I do!

RogerSling: I'm not sure if that's "joy" you see or simply an old contact lens. I've only got one "good" eye so I only wear one contact lens.

EZduzzit (Glen): A tie seems to have become a part of who I am. I always wore one at the office even on "casual" day ( a "casual" one, of course) and always when I played. Last year I did a booking without one and actually felt naked. I had to go back to it. As far as dancers go, yes we actually did have people on the dance floor which was nice. We're actually going to play out again the first week-end in June. We'll be playing a "back-to-back" Friday/Saturday job. Man, I'll need some serious "nap time" before that one.

jaghog: Thanks for the positive feedback!

JohnG: Yes, we've got a "chick". However, we usually start each set with an instrumental so the chick hadn't stepped to the microphone when this particular pic was taken. I believe we were doing "Hip Hug Her" by Booker T. and the MGs.

LandenLarry: Stop it, you're killing me!Laughing H

My son and I were just discussing that fine individual earlier this evening.

kevins: Thanks for the kind words.

mlayton (Mike): The bass player is Tom DeHayes. He actually plays a variety of music and is also involved in a lot of musical productions, usually at the local high schools.
