Premier Shells

Hi All!! I haven't been here for a while! After reading through some posts a lot is going on. I will have to catch up. Anyway, a friend of mine has some Premier shells. They have been rewrapped and are not pretty.A bad job.

Plus missing hardware. The badge says Premier Made and Reged? in England. The Drum Guide has the badge in the30,s. They look 3ply with rings,Birch I think? The shells themselves are in good shape. But they are metric. The Bass drum is 13XX ,21xx ,mounted tom is 11xx 7xx and the floor tom is actually just under 16". What can I offer? $100,USD? To much? I would use them for a project if I could get heads to fit. Otherwise calf will have to go on them?

Thanks in advance, Ed

crying2-07 IMHO....leave Metric heads alone...more of a hassle than they are worth. Plus, if you'd have to find any replacement hoops...oomph.....

They sound like nice shells...but......

Remo makes heads for the older Premier kits. If you do a search here you'll find a few results on the part numbers for Remo Premier heads. Hardware can be found on Ebay. The throw off will be a bit harder to come by depending on the model but, once in a while the right part comes along.

If you don't want the shells, message me your friend's contact info, I'd be interested in buying them.

go here - http://vintprem.moonfruit.com/ - to find out what kit it is. the site is a bit old school, but click on dates on left then scroll down and you'll find a 'badges' section. Very handy.

Pre-international heads are fairly easy to come bye. Don't be put off, those old premier kits sound amazing.
