Hard to say anything without a few decent photos- especially of the strainer and the inside of the drum- 125$ is alot to pay for any MIJ snare- I look forward to your photosFYI

Hey Kevins, do you happen to have a pic of the badge on that drum? I've seen it before and meant to ask you. I think that is one of earlier ones, just like in the Pearl 1966 catalog.

Zim-Gar was made by both Pearl and Star at certain times. A few pics of the drum (especially the lugs, badge and strainer) will help us identify who made it and around what time period.

I agree with Kevins and O-Bop, $125 is quite a bit to pay for a MIJ snare, but if it sounds good to you and you can get some use out of it, then it might be a good purchase.

If the drum is an 8 lug and has cast hoops like mine,then you have a mighty fine snare drum...,Mine also has the smaller round blue badge so it was from a different era.
