Second pic:

- 3rd - agree with Mikey - TROMSA/ROXY;

- last lug - very early concert 50's TROWA and LEFIMA/TACTON also.

I don't have any of those shells,unfortunately.Those came from an Amati drum set,on which one,all original hardware and lugs were removed and somebody put what he had in stock

I don't know what the second lug is either but I agree with George on 1 and 4 but not on 3. I have never seen a Tromsa lug like this. The only lugs I have seen like this but only in pictures are very early West German Sonor lugs---- 1952,53,54,55,56.The East German Sonor lugs were different.Sonor had a lot in common with Trowa in those days and the drum designs had similarities, because there was a lot of sharing-----either intentional or accidental.If you look at this lug in detail it is very similar to the Trowa lugs of the same period.I have a possibly even older Sonor floor tom which has very similar lugs but they are solid----with the thread right into the lug---no inserts.

On 3rd - yes, yes Phil, all of your assumptions are possible.

They are very-very similar, sometimes it's hard to identify in whole - once we discussed and laughed about this situation with Henk on e-mail: all of parts have only a micro differences... :)

Often it's still become a subject to hot debates between different points of views.

George.

here is the # 4 lug on a kit. i contacted this seller some time ago and suggested that these may be Trowa. There are great similarities between aspects of these and certain parts of drums in my possession(especially the tom arm---identical to one I have except for the wingbolt). anyway, that makes them a Sonor Prototype in my book or perhaps they were made very shortly after the exodus. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110556380629&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Yes, Phil, that's right.

These lugs could were mounted on shells as double "face-to-face" on deep snare shell, or double "in diagonal" on short shell, or as singles on piccolo snare, or as singles on toms, or on BD with additional plates.

George.
