No. - I wouldn' t have asked you for pics ...!

I assume that Zim Gar was one of the 'Pearl' stencil brands,

without being able to prove that. It's just my unimportant opinion.

All constructive opinions are important Ralf!..I,ve heard ZG was a Tama stencil.If you look under the badge reference section its the blue badge of the drums im getting.Its the only pic i can offerCool Dude

Hi Wayne,

Yes, I know that list.

If you look at ebay USA, at the moment there are a 'ZimGar' drumset

and a snare drum listed. Especially the snare drum has some significant

and characteristic traits:

- it has a type of lugs, that Star never used and

- it has a type of snare strainer, that Star never used as well.

(The Star snare strainer look similar - but he definitely is not equal!)

These small differences (assuming they are original ...) make me think once

more that Zim Gar is NOT made by Star.

Well i got a Zim-Gar Drum Set White Marine Pearl the only same badge i found all the other ones have a little thing hanging of the edge of the badge saying made in japan this is the only match thanks at least there is another badge like my zimgar!!!!

just got these in, late 60s Zim-Gar 20/12/14 in Gold Ingot. Star all the way, bay. Looks like Zimmer and Garfield shopped around.
