Nice cymbal!

Rare size,fo sho.......

Speakin of rare size Tran Stamps, I grabbed a 25" at the Chicago show a few years ago.......

A dealer during set-up Friday nite had a great price on it >($325!),so I grabbed........some guy came up right before me and offered $300......he said "no".

Dealer told me the next day that the guy came back to grab, and was very surprised it was gone! He was PIZZED!

BTW...I ended up flipping it for $1,000, so $400 for your 21" is in line,I would say...................

HERE is an online timeline of Zildjian stamps, showing variations they've used over the years. The trans (transition) stamp was used in the 1940s & '50s, and like Kevin said, can be identified by the deeper imprint at the outside edges -- particularly the "Z" and "Co".

I saved stamps from posts here that were all verified by the resident experts.

I'd be happy to send them to anyone interested.

It's stamps only, so grain of salt here.... lathing, hammering, and other aspects won't be very evident.

The pictures are nice to look at.

But I wouldn't put too much stock in the information contained there. He just doesn't know enough about the subject to come off like an authority. And it shows.

Bill, is this one a 40's or 50's trans stamp?

Thanks

I thought 40s trans have lines inside the both side letters.

correct me if I'm wrong.
