And, any other issues ?

Thanks

If I were a bettin' man, (I'm not) I would say that's a rewrap with a repainted interior. That thing just looks wrong. I could be wrong ... maybe. I think Mrdyce is a member on this here forum. He could maybe give you more info.

Sweet looking drum.Looks good to me. I have not seen that color before. I can post a pic of the interior of my PT as soon as I can resize it. My PT is a 68 /69. The # on that one is a bit older so maybe the same years or a little older.

My Powertone has a flat gray interior with a Cleveland tag and a white pad. Not sure who is correct or who is not. Just know that one on ebay looks odd to my eyes.

A flat grey drum should have a black muffler............

The Powertone name was a change to the Holiday shell. Different edges and snarebeds I think? Mcjnic your tag reads Holiday? An early Powertone?

So flat grey would be right. The Powertone tag all had glossy grey I think.

I am not the expert. Still learning but I read this stuff somewhere. ROF I think.

Ploughman?

Not an expert, but i think the interior should be flat, and the overlap of the wrap looks too long. This is a good one for the plough man!

Things I see that raise question:
overlap of wrap looks excessive

gray interior looks like repaint....look at washers adn screws, look like they have some residue

first pic...snare bed...wrap comes all the way down and just doesn't look right to me

last but not least, each picture had me wondering because it looked like distance from bottom of drum versus top of drum didn't look right. look at last picture...seems like distance of lower section is smaller than upper section
May be I'm all wet on this one, but things just don't seem to look right.

The Vintage Drum Guide of the VDF has a section called "Internal Drum Paint." In the article addressing Rogers drums it states that wooden Powertone snare drums NEVER had flat grey interior paint. The Powertone snare drums had glossy grey interior shells.

Of all the concerns, the one that has me going is the distance between the washers and rering top and bottom. I don't know if its the camera angle, but the washer looks to be touching the rering. Maybe a re-cut? The overlap looks ok, it is the same as the one on my Champagne Sparkle serial 11021.

On the washers I think it is more patina than paint. And my snare beds look just like the pic. The more I look at it the more I want it. Its looking good to me.
