OK, The cymbals are:

Avedis - Zildjian C - Genuine - Turkish Cymbal - Made in Canada. (hard to read this one as it is barely visable) has squiggle above it. (the photo of this is in the previous post)

Avedis - Zildjian Co - Genuine - Turkish Cymbal - Made in USA. with squiggle (hehe)

Zyn - Made in England.

Foremost 600.

Also came with a cow bell (can't read too old) and a wood block and mount (Carlton - Made in Japan). And a rebounder pad and three sets of sticks.

I went out and got the snare drum that just has Japan on it. Photos below;

Hello and welcome to the forum!

The others have not led you astray. As Ralf said, that kit is pretty much a steaming pile of poo... The rack toms (hangers you called them I think) have the 'Star' muffler. I'm no expert on Asian drums, but 'Star' is the only brand I know of that uses that type of muffler. Also, concert toms (no resonant head on the bottom) are a 70's phenomenon. Everybody wanted a thumpy so sound, so... If that's the tone (or lack of) that you're going for, then there you are. If you want the drum to sound like, say... a drum, return that kit.

Mikey777 and jonnistix are the real experts for Asian drums on this forum that I know of. Osakabop and Ralf being right up there as well. Frankly, if I found that kit at a yard sale, my offer would have been around $20.00 U.S. Mostly for the hardware.

Also, I'm not sure, but I would suspect that the black interiors are an added 'attraction' as well.

Hi, Thanks for the help and advice. I rang the guy this morning and have arranged to swap it over for the TAMA still wrapped and intact kit. I can keep the cymbals. For what I want the kit for it will do fine and I wont have to try and locate replacement parts. I should have the other kit tonight, so will post pics of it tomorrow. Thanks again for your help in the identification. Have a great day!

Hi

I swapped over the kit and no have - Tama RoyalStar - Made in Japan.

The problem I have is I need Bass drum lugs approx 7 of. Also 8 floor tom lugs and bottom rim. The kit is otherwise complete.

Anyone have any they would like to sell? Or know where I might find them?

Also can you advise me of the age of this kit? I can't seem to find a serial number.

Hi, The best way to go is Ebay/or C/l for the lugs that you need also try to fine a whole drum..I don't have any of these for sale the problem with the Royalstar lugs are that they brake off at the screw holes when you are putting them on the drums or if you tightin up the head to much on the drums,in other words these lugs are crappy made lugs and are some what hard to fine..Tama did not used these lugs for long because of this on the drums...Mikey

Thanks for responding. Merry Christmas. Is there an alternate lug I could use that would have the same hole sizing? As I don't anticipate having it on show anywhere.

Would you have an idea of the kits age/era? And/or where I would find a serial number located?

I have noticed that the previous owner has drilled holes through a couple of the lugs (where the casings have broken) and put a bolt and nut through them (Bottom lugs) it seems to work just doesn't look the best. Would you see any problem with doing this? I have enough unbroken ones to place around the top. I am missing one lug if I use the ones I have and drill holes.
