FYI..Your asking price seems high to me or is it me only?.With the added tom mount i would think a pair price is 300.00-350.00 maybe..Mikey

I would agree.....the "lefty" bass comment makes me wonder if it is in fact a true outfit drum. Ludwig fitted the rail mount dead center at the top of the shells on the 18" bass drums. If it is offset either direction, left or right of center, it wasn't a factory fit to begin with. Also the added tom mount is a big detractor. Pics would help clarify this, but I'm on the band wagon that the asking price sounds a bit high....

IF that were a Gretsch 18" the price would be out of this world, even with the modifications

I don't think that price is a bad starting point. You don't see these come down the pike to often.. After all it does say "OBO"..

sorry, the pictures didn't work when I uploaded them. Even though it's very common for jazzette to have a center rail, I have owned and seen plenty of 18" Basses with a rail not in the center. In fact, one is on ebay now.

http://cgi.ebay.com/MINT-CONDITION-1964-LUDWIG-18-BASS-DRUM-BDP-LEFT-HAND-/360327116513?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e52b76e1

Also, a Lefty. Think about it, if you wanted a 18 kick, plus your left handed, more then likely you custom ordered that drum in which case you got what you wanted.

What most likely happened down was a right handed player bought the drum and out the double tom mount in the center.

I'm accepting best offers on the bass if anyone wants to make an offer.

Thanks!!

Yep, I'd agree that's alot of cash for that bass.

Yep, and she'll never get it either. She's had that one for sale for the better part of two years on ebay now. Also, the line about the hoops having the original silver sparkle inlays is incorrect. The ORIGINAL inlays SHOULD be black diamond pearl to match the wrap, not silver sparkle.
