Walberg and Auge
Thanks for bringing the link here to the forum, Looks like someone is going to get a gem of a set there!! These drums are so rare (in matching sets) and having one in the collection will make a serious player or collector happy. My set sounds evey bit as good as my Gretsch RB set, and the edge work is even nicer. Whoever this guy is that built the drums, sure knew what he was doing. That's for sure!!
Somebody want to tell the guy that the term is "MINT" not "minty"....there is no such thing as a "minty" condition. DOH
That's one of the things that bugs me about people who post on ebay and craigslist....while we're at it.....it's BASS not base, and it's PEDAL, not peddle or petal.
The term is MINT CONDITION, as in the condition of coins that just left the US Mint! That's where the expression came from.....minty is how something like gum tastes! DOH
Ok, off the Soap Box

So; Are you going to buy them or not? I personally like to see ads that tout Base drums, Remo weatherking drums, symbols.et al. This way I feel there is less chance of being outsmarted by the seller.

Shhhhhh! don't give our secret away!!! that's my take also and have had some good Musical equippment come of it.
Just as an example, I got a Leedy 1920 NOB 6 lugger off shopgoodwill that was advertised as a "possible CB400" because it was in a CB snare case. So, for around $100, I'm going to have a nice, playable vintage Leedy snare. If I can sell the case, I'll only be in about $80. I love ignorance.

I see, so there is no such thing as windy condition either, only a wind condition?? Goodness, write to the seller and give him/her a word lesson. As far as I see that's one fine set of drums, and I've only seen 2 other Walberg sets as nice, and both were sold for much higher coin than this set is offered right now. I wouldn't include any of that hardware with the set, and would tag it the same! IMO, but I like a minty taste this time of year... how bout you???LoLoLoLo
Speaking from experience eh Hunk? . . . they look like these?
Damn, I missed this post. What year, wrap and price and size were these? I like to keep up with what W&A drums go for and what's out there.
