Vintage 4 Piece 1962 Ludwigs-Champagne

Loading...

I am helping my dad sell a set of 1962 (I believe that is correct) Ludwig Champagne Sparkle. Drums are in excellent condition....wrap condition is unbelievable. This set has the matching snare with it.

Snare - 4x14

Tom - 12 x 8

Floor Tom - 14 x 14

Bass - 16 x 20

We think these drums have the original heads. It appears these drums were kept inside somewhere, most likely not played very much. It is evident they have been taken very good care of over the years.

If there is any interest, let me know.

There is always going to be interest in Ludwig Downbeat kits. But, you need to post a price here so that we know who and what we are dealing with. Pics are always a plus. For pricing, you may want to check out eBay completed auctions. You might also want to hit a few online dealer sites. Those are sweet sounding drums and you could very easily be taken advantage of ... So do your homework.

They weren't. It's probably a 14" deep bass drum and he'd measuring it from hoop to hoop.....

Thanks for the comments.

We are asking $1200 for them.....and I think they are worth a little more than that. He is moving and these would not sell where he is going.

I am working on getting some pics tonight and will post a link to them.

They do have the nickel, not the chromed hardware.

Hilarious. Yes, those are them. They obviously did not sell on Ebay. I wish i knew that listing was still up and I wouldn't have spent the last hour taking pics.

My dad knows this guy and let him list them for him. Now, he (dad) is moving (tomorrow) and I am storing them/showing them for him.

Link for more pics...
