Hi Mike, hope you are well. wanted to ask your opinion on this 65 Pioneer snare I am about to buy. It matches my other Gold sparkle nickel hardware drums. Has Nickel over brass hoops. Wrap looks great. The thing is someone drilled a small pencil size hole in it, lower open space, for a Mic, or who knows. I have a piece of the 60's gold sparkle wrap I can plug the hole and top it with. Outside that it looks in excellent condition. The guy wants $150 for it if I come get it, 3 hour round trip. or $150 without the new remo Ambassador heads if he ships it to me. What do you think ? jump on it ? Thank you for any advice Tim Gordon "VIbes" I would use this snare in a jazz set up. Decent jazz snare ?

Hi Mike, my name is Mike Guedes known on the Vintage Drum Forum as Butchie. Many years ago I bought a rod and washer for a 20's Black Beauty from you. I'm now in need of a Pioneer strainer, 20 clips, both rims and one rod and washer for a 1926-27 Ludwig Standard Deluxe (it's nowhere near your mint one) Gut snares would be nice as well, anyway do you have any of these items or can you turn me on to who might? Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,
I put up a few pictures of my dads 1920's Ludwig & Ludwig snare in peacock finish and noticed you work at Gelb Music. I bought a snare from there last year but I believe it was a different Mike I dealt with? Anyway, does Gelb music buy vintage gear like this, as my father is looking at selling.
Regards,
Josh
