Thanks guys! I had most of the American manufacturer's catalogs in the mid to late 60's. I was always drawn to the smaller sets like the Gretsch Progressive Jazz and Ludwig Downbeat, Slingerland 9N, Camco Casino and the Leedy Frank Capp. But the Rogers Citadel was always the favorite and I never lost track of it. I finally got one from Rockin’ Rita’s in the 90’s, but sold it. I regretted it for a long time until I got this one a couple summers ago from an eBay auction. It belonged to a forum member from PA who was the original owner. I’m really pleased with it. As you can imagine, it sounds great. I’ll get the full catalog shot when I get the hi-hat and get home again.

PS - The set came to me with a COB PowerTone, which I still have. The pristine COB Dynasonic came from an eBay auction by mrfathead. It is essentially a NOS drum including perfect 19 strand snares and the original elastics on the snare frame. Matches the set date wise, all being late Dayton drums. mrfathead finds some of the cleanest stuff out there. I've bought from him several times with total satisfaction. I got a matching Dynasonic for it last year too, but have agreed to sell it recently. I also have the matching PowerTone snare. See pictures. The last one of the set is from the original owner.

Thanks again guys, and thanks to Tommyp who knows and loves his Rogers gear . It's a really sharp set-up and I'm very happy with it. I think of it as being in the very peak of what Rogers did for us drummers. I sure am hoping that the organization that Mark idrum4fun showed us the other day is able to revive this great company.
