Thanks!

I'm excited. Like frozen in time drums. Anyone know what snares/heads were correct?

Beautiful drum. Just clean and polish. Don't do anything else.

I have the 7"x14" version of that drum, they're wonderful sounding snares. Enjoy yours. I have an Evans Hazy 300 on the snare side and I bought a new calf head for the batter. It's a PITA to have to tweak the batter head every time I play it, but it sounds great with the calf. You might want to go REMO emperor on top. The snares on mine are narrow 16 strand snares.

Too many great drums to list here!

Out of curiousity, is there any movement in the vintage drum world to leave patina? There is something kinda neat about aged nickel to me on this particular drum. Thanks, just curious that's all.

Surrounded by drummers here! (I am a guitarist.)

I agree that aged ole nickel looks great, I've left my RK, but that's mainly cos I just don't fancy taking everything off, am sort of scared to do that and I don't have the skill or experience people here have. While a well scrubed up old drum lookes nice I don't mind mine looking not so scrubbed up, its stil COOL and you could say people look and think wow that's a realy old drum there.Cool1

I have the 7x14 also, Remo Ambasador snare side with a calf head on top, 16 strand Puresounds, has a very vintage fat vibe!

Not very sensitive!!
