It's a well-known fact that early-80's Tama Imperialstar "King-Beat" snares and some Superstar (Mastercraft) models have lugs that are prone to crack under extreme pressure.
Drum sites are full of guys lamenting a busted lug on their beloved old 80's Tama. Looking for replacement lugs? Well, you've just found 'em.

Cracking of these lugs was always a problem with those that loved high tension settings. I never had this issue with any of my Superstar snare drums from this time period. Still, it's good to know that lugs are available. And, yes, Rogers lugs do fit, as the center-to-center mounting is 1-15/16". Even today, the majority of Tama snare lugs are 1-15/16"!

I used some lugs from a US company called AllStar lugs to fix my steel shell. I also made an adapter to fit the throw without drilling….

Can you show some shots of what you did to adapt the strainer? My parallel is still working, but it's not the most reliable strainer ever invented.

I was going to chrome the plate and make spacers when a forum ember hooked me up with a strainer….
