1960s Pearl "Tigers Eye" 3 pc drum kit. 22/16/12

For Sale:

1960s Pearl 3 pc. Tigers Eye drum kit.

22" Bass, 16" Floor tom, and 12" tom.

It's missing a few parts. Some T rods and a bottom hoop for the 12" tom.

The Rail mount assembly wa missing some parts so I combined some Gretsch and Ludwig parts to make it work. No permanent mods have been made.

The bass hoops are metal and may not be original, and and some bass T rods are for not original. The top Cymbal mount is missing. No legs/spurs. But, No extra holes.

Bearing edges are a little banged up on the tom and bass front..

but nothing too serious. A little wood filler and sand paper should clean that up.

The Tigers Eye Finish is very nice. It is in pretty good shape for it's age and responded well to a good cleaning and waxing. The bass has some minor tom rash and other typical wear and tear.

This will go fast I predict - these are HOT! Original Pearl (not a stencil) good condition - 10 lug BD - very affordable - what's not to love!

These could be (likely) 1970s. Some prefer the thin shells with the re-rings, but I have recently discovered that the thicker MIJ shells can indeed sound GREAT with the right heads/tuning/and some EQ if recording. (Yes, there is a story behind that - involving a little 14 inch thick shelled FT that I almost completely wrote off - until a recent recording project).

HEY - I just noticed the hoops - cool! Yes, the matching 12 inch hoop like this can be found - don't worry about that, Buyer.

I highly recommend this kit. This wrap is becoming more and more rare - and it appears that this wrap is in very good condition.

One of the richest colors in the whole history of drum wrap - Yum....

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
