Remo bongo/ rototoms prototypes, vintage, for free

Hello,

I have a pair of 8" and 10" genuine Remo roto-toms, apparently from the 60's and the first version, from the beginning of Remo's roto-toms production. Here's the history:

http://www.rototomdrums.com/article_al_payson_history.html

Unfortunately the bottom plates have each one crack, but it doesn't effect sound or function.

Actual Remo heads do not fit - they are approx. 1 cm too big in diameter.

Stand is not included. Anyone interested in this ultra rare item?

As I don't need these special drums (which are slightly cracked), I'm willing to send them just for the shipping charges only, to someone who has a museum or is a collector.

Location: Germany.

Cheers, Ralf

We used to have a set of these in my high school (i graduated in '83). They had a weird, punchy sound. And prone to crack. I believe we had a set of four of them mounted on a stand. Was cool to be able to tune them for some percussion ensemble pieces. Very nice gesture Ralf!
