Hey Quest...if you ask me...this kit has the perfect mix of 1950's vintage mojo and reliable hardware for gigging. My '49 Leedy kit has a hoop mount tom holder and hoop mount spurs, which are cool, but I had to add a 2nd set of spurs on the back of the bass drum to stabilize it and prevent it from creeping while playing, plus I'm afraid the tom holder will fall if I gig it too often. I usually leave that kit setup at home. This Slingy kit is definitely sweet and that snare sounds fantastic! I could not pass it up. I hope you get yours someday!
