These were 8x12,9x13,14x14 toms for a drum kit with three different snare sounds available. I believe they only had a one year run (1960).
Has anyone ever owned one?
Does anyone have pics?

No one has come across these? Were they vapor-ware? Heck, I was hoping someone would have crossed paths with one at some point.
You can Google "Slingerland Stereo" & come up w/ an old ebay listing of a cocktail drum w/ a clamshell strainer. But there is no proof this was offered as a real Slingerland. They did make cocktail drums but non are called "Stereo". I'd like to know where the seller got his information, but the listing is from 2011.
Slingerland offered an all spruce kit, actually ran a 1/8th page add in MD. I can't find anyone who has ever seen one.
Mind Blowi
I remember the Spruce kit as being like the other wood finish kits of the time ... an outer ply in place of the wrap. It was offered only in 1979.
As for the Stereo drums ... They were not cocktail drums. They were standard sized and had a snare mech. I've only got one writeup on them with pics. Never seen one in the wild though. Still hoping someone out there has spotted the ellusive ones.
