26" Zildjian stamp

Loading...

Hi, I want to sell this 26" cymbal and want to accuratly represent it based on the stamp. I believe a 50's stamp that measures exactly 1 1/8". Any info would be great and used for the sale.

Also the bell is flat on the top and there is some hammering but not much.

Thanks for looking, Gary.

One thing i should add is that the back of the cymbal has some of the brownish casting in the lathing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Gary.

It's pretty hard to make out the details on the stamp. If the Zildjian is in a very thin font then I would say 70s. Can you get a clearer shot of the stamp?

That would be a late 1950's trademark. About '57 to '59. Have you ever weighed it?

Hi, and yes i have. It weighs in at a heafty 5465g. I had concerns since it had a thinner shallower font than on others with this stamp size i've seen. I do appreciate this info very much and will pass it on to the next owner.

Thanks you, Gary.

I ended up taking a pretty big loss on it but i'm glad it's going to someone who really wants it.

Those monster Zillys are my favourite Zillys. I nearly like those as much as Paistes...
