Pictures Of Vintage Drummers and Their Drums From The Way Back Machine

Since I joined this forum a few months back, I have not seen a thread for us to post pictures of us and our drums from days gone by. I'll start it out with my new 1964 Camcos and a bewildered looking me from that same year. The Camco set is long gone, and so is what little hair the 21 year old me still had. The other picture is from a year earlier when we had the dreaded "girl vocalist" in the band. Note the Flat Jacks snare and the aluminum sticks. I played a Flat Jacks set right before the Camco set.

Let's see your old pics with your old drums no matter how embarrassing it may be.

My god, man, if you're going to hold the snare at that angle you have to at least teach her traditional grip for the photo!

Currently playing for loud rock and roll gigs:
1982 Ludwig Classic in white Cortex, 24-13-14-18 + Coliseum snare
For quieter gigs:
Early '70s Whitehall Tiger Eye Pearl 20-12-14-14
Neglected but thinking about:
Early '70s Sonor Champions in Rosewood, 22-12-13-16

OK LeedyBDP.

Two from 1967, a couple of years after I was given a used set of WFL's.

Yes,....very same kit, down to the cymbals. Oh, same drummer too....but he can use a restoration.

Love the driveway photo! I can imagine the awesome garage sounds you guys were blasting out, especially with that Fender rig....

And I love that you still only have one rubber foot on that cymbal stand! I've got two just like it. Where the hell do those go?

For those who dig the garage sounds, this is a cool site to mess around on. They have a gallery of a bunch of no name bands that were playing some cool gear....

Here's one from the early 80s. I was playing a show in California (across the bay just outside of Oakland) with my much missed mid70s Premiers. I loved that kit. Don't recall why I was dressed like a dweeb ... more so than usual ... but I guess there was a reason.

Those are some great pictures. Keep 'em comin', folks. By the way, I know zero about motor cycles except that my son has been riding Harleys for several years, and just recently bought a brand new one. OK...I lied...I do know something about motor cycles. My son's bike is black and makes a lot of noise.
