Just picked up this LM402, bought new 5-6 years ago in Norway. It has a small Keystone badge with R and serial number : 19458
I guess this is a reissue LM402 production, stamped but with old serial numbers...? Snr. 19458 would originally have been from late 64... Please clarify... |

The badge appears to be a post 2008 Legacy badge.
They had serial numbers until about 2015? In 2008 serial numbers started at 10000. I have a 2011 snare drum with serial number 12345. |

Re-issue. Note the "Made in USA" at bottom. Originals are "Chicago, U.S.A.".

Many thanks, this was clarifying. I was not aware that they started a new serial number series post 2008 starting at 10000 on legacy "made in USA" badges.
