Default Imperialstar Wood Snare...?

So while looking at the 1970's Catalogs, it caught my eye that they kept making note of an Imperialstar wood snare. Far as I had known the metal versions were Imperialstars, and the wood versions were Superstars. Seems though that during the 1970's they did make Imperialstar wood shell snares with the Zola coating. Anyone ever come across one? Could these have been mostly limited to Japan? I know certain finishes were only available in Japan. I found a 14"x10" shell ( no lugs,or rims ) for $10 and figured I might make my own.

Found a good photo from a catalog showing one.

Hi Jay!

The wood-shell Imperialstar snare drums are really cool! They were available in the US, but, the issue was that everyone wanted metal-shell snare drums. It might be next to impossible to find a wood-shell Imperialstar, so, sure, go build your own!
