Re: Olympia Theater, Miami, Florida 1954
Wonderful story Harrabey-this info means you were born in 1949 and i can see the resemblance between you and your father.Your dad was an incredible man and musician to be able to do what he did and for that long of a period of time.Must have been an amazing era for the working drummer and your dad must have been in demand, as he made his living in the art of drumming and played in great venues. Thanks again for sharing this true story.
Wayne

Re: Olympia Theater, Miami, Florida 1954
Thanks for your kind thoughts, Wayne. I was born in 1946. My Dad taught me how to play when I was three but insisted throughout my childhood that I better have a job that was more secure than drumming. So I became an educator AND a drummer!

Hopefully, I'm not boring you guys with these memorabilia photos but there seems to be some interested drummers out there in the world. I'm posting images of my father's Army band days, ship band days from the 1920's to the 1940's and a few incidentals.

Very very cool pictures. Thanks for sharing them all. I really like the side by sides of you and Dad. Classic stuff and so nice you have these and the memories attached to them.
