For sale I have a "players" Slingerland "Root Beer" Sparkle kit 22x14, 13x9, and 16x16. The wrap has scratches, nothing very noticeable when you're a few feet back. Worst is on the bottom of the bass drum. Rare double spur set up with 2 cymbal brackets, just like Buddy's! The bass and rack are black & gold Niles badge and the floor tom is silver but very low serial number (6797) which leads me to believe they could have been bought together, probably in 1970 (only year they used the silver and black oval logo with script writing). All drums have the chocolate milk painted interiors. Only have one set of spur legs and they are repos and some of the t-screws are missing (one cymbal mount, two spurs, other two spurs have different screws). Also one bass drum hoop is not original.
This is one kit I'd like to keep but I have a silver sparkle from the same era and you can't have them all! Located in Nashville, happy to ship. Niles tag snare stand I've been using as a tom holder included $SOLD ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by sws2h; 07-30-2016 at 07:35 PM. |

Yes, that looks to be the black/silver 1970 transitional badge on the floor tom. Would expect to see serials near 250xxx on the bass and rack tom. Good luck with sale. Nice drums.
