I saw this on a (new, not used) Pearl Piccolo Snare (the flat black steel one) at my local GC. Could it have been the stock head?
It seemed like a normal coated head to me. It wasn't smooth around the outside perimeter or anything. I contacted Remo to see if this was a new product or something. I haven't heard back from them yet. Anyway, it could have been a misprint. I just thought it was funny! While I was there, I was going to pick up a Clear Coated Smooth White Suede Renaissance Colortone Fiberskyn Ebony Starfire Pinstripe! LOL
