floor tom shells
i have a late 64 floor tom ludwig. badge is in middle of drum and looks like its made from mahogany maple mahogany anyone came across this on other drums? no date stamp

Should be mahogany interior, poplar and then mahogany exterior if wrapped...or maple exterior if it is a painted shell. That's the norm anyway. Center badge placement is correct for a 64. Most 64s do not have date stamps inside....very high production rate that year.

thanks mike drum is wrapped . thnaks for the info on the date stamp drum does seem to be mahogany maple mahogany or maybe the poplar is very light in colour but i thought it was usually a greyish colour thanks very much crawford.
