Default Zildjian Clone? Zildjian K? What is this?

Hey y'all!

Just picked up a cymbal (Or rather, got a family member to pick up a cymbal for me) and this is the stamp on it. Any idea what the deal with this thing is? Stamp looks like it says IGDJIAN&CIE and has both ISTANBUL and CONSTANTINOPLE stamped on top of one another.

Do I have something special here?

Since they know how to spell their names, I'd say let's see the whole thing top and bottom.

It's an interesting stamp. Would like to see some more pictures of the cymbal.

Z.Fengjian & Cie. From my photo reference collection. Believed to be yet another Italian Ersatz K as we discussed recently in another thread:

http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=65379

although OddBall doesn't want to believe my diagnosis on that other one.

And a profile shot for good measure (because of the per post limit for attachments).

There is also a pair of cymbals for sale here

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-K-Z...4383.l4275.c10

which don't pass my "balance of probability" test for both being K Zildjian. But I'd be interested to hear what others think (and more importantly why). The same seller has a mixed pairing of Italian and genuine K Zildjian here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-zil...UAAOSweK9dWZWw

and doesn't seem to know about the Italian connection. But the K Zildjian stamp is interesting because they put the English on the top and the Arabic on the bottom.

Zen, can always count on you to bring incredible research and evidence.

Meant to give all of you more pix today, but unfortunately, the cymbal is currently with a family member who picked it up, but more pics should arrive tomorrow!

@Zen, does your research show any value for something like this? Is the stamp just some UFIP-esque company designed to masquerade as a K? Any idea on age? Is there any reason why it appears ISTANBUL and CONSTANTINOPLE are stamped on top of one another? Will my questions ever end?

It came with legit Zildjian and Zilco (The early, trademark/scimitar version) cymbals so I can get you weights/pictures on those in a few weeks if you're interested for your data.

Yea, I bombed out on that one. It fooled me because it is a good fake. I know better than to counterpoint you and Drumaholic, but it was fun to do. Even though I sank like a rock.

Definitely an artificial K. The bell-bow transition is too severe. The pseudo Arabic script is wrong. Hammering is wrong. 100% Italian B.S.

When were these clones produced? I saw in the other thread Zen linked to a catalog from 1912, but until what point were they made? Is there any way to date it?
