Default Slingerland/Gretsch

Here's another interesting find, 1965 Slingerland 12,16, rb Gretsch 22 in a champagne sparkle finish. The kick is missing badge, but there are no extra holes and it's not a re-wrap. He's asking $500, but he said he would take $400. Now, I know this wouldn't appeal to the purist, but holy moly, I saw a rb kick like this one sell for $599 on Reverb.

For the working drummer, this looks like a great drum set. If you own those drums, you can take all the time in the world to locate a Gretsch badge to slap on the bass drum. My hunch is that a cheap donor drum will come along at a lower price than the gougers charge for a badge by itself.

Ya, I've had my share of mutt kits, but at least this one matches and there's a lot more than $400 worth of drums here if I decide to sell them individually.

Those aren't extra holes on the bass drum, it's just missing the diamond shaped cymbal arm mount.

Sweet deal!

Thanks, those aren't the holes I'm referring too. They are right in front of where the badge would had been.

Some Gretsch drums had a cymbal bracket located there. My guess is that those holes in front of the badge were the original position for the holder and then it was moved to the "normal" position on the side. Install two diamond brackets and problem solved.
