A criminally underrated performance by John Bonham....

Stuart Copeland credited with "hi-hat" on this one (Jerry Marotta on drums)....

And speaking of Stuart Copeland....

There was an Urban Myth at one time that Gadd came up with the beat by taking one of the lessons from the Haskell Harr Drum method book, turning the book upside down, and playing it.

Gadd later came out to say "Fifty Ways' was just a result of sitting at the drums and playing the Hi-Hat with my left hand. When playing Be-Bop, sometimes the Hi-Hat will play in four, or in different places, rather than just 'two and four'. So 'Fifty Ways' was a result of using the Hi-Hat in different places and using the left hand on the Hi-Hat."

An amazing drummer

Michael

Manu Katche always kills, playing like NO ONE else. I restart Peter Gabriel's Red Rain live almost every time I hear it.

Vinnie Colaiuta is a one man slaughterhouse whenever he slays - STING, SEVEN DAYS ... I quit!

Chris Dave. Seriously - did I already say I quit? I really quit now. Again. (Couldn't really find what I was looking for). But I found this which sorta qualifies as just, Holy $it!

Manu again :

Something a little different. Not sure who actually played it... Chip Davis, Bill Berg or Don Simmons.
