Hello, I'm new to the forum. I recently purchased and cleaned up a 60's orange sparkle Custum mij kit. 12,14,and 20. Then, I found a matching same era 8 lug Apollo snare. After putting on some coated Remo heads, the set sounds great! Much better than my early 80's Tama kit that I've had for way too long. Thanks to this site for all the priceless information. ![]() ![]() 80s Tamas are fab drums. Wish I'd never sold mine. I believe Custum is a Pearl stencil kit. There have been recent discussions on the forum about them. Please post pics if you have then. Enjoy!! -Doug

I once owned an orange sparkle Decca 8 lug snare drum..
I put a Fiberskyn Ambassador on it and it kicked @55.. I later sold for $60.00 to a young kid who was starting out.. Glad i did.. The look on his face when he took the drum was priceless.. ![]() |
