Hi!
I’m close to buying a 20s Ludwig two piece brass snare. All is good except one little thing. In the picture I’ve seen of the drum it seems as if the snare bed is a little off center on the strainer side of the drum. Should I worry about this? Anybody else that has a drum with crimped beds that are off center? |

Don't worry about it, it's common for the old one's. They did them by hand.

I see what you are talking about in the photo. However, the picture is taken on an angle and could make it look more off center than it is. Have you had a chance to exam in the drum in person?
The crimped beds do look deep. I looked at some of mine and noticed some deeper than others. |
