It is finally finished! I finally got a remo renaissance emperor batter skin and a bottom snare ambassador head.

Also completed the drum with nickel over brass top and bottom hoops and lugs. And for the snares I have patterson gut on it. This thing roars!

I have this 8x15 which appears to be similar although it isn't from the 60's (obviously).

Nope It is mahogany inner and outer plies with a poplar core. It does have the "Radio King" engraved hoop though. Not every RK snare was a solid shell.
