What would make you think it's not an authentic Rogers kit?
It's the real deal.

Apart from missing hoop inlay (unless the hoops have been switched, my eyesight used to be fantastic..) & swapped out floor tom legs my eyes aren't seeing anything "non-authentic". Bowtie T-rods & Beavertail lugs would make this Dayton era, but one of the experts will surely chime in with more details. Very nice drums. Enjoy them! I got the Rogers bug almost a decade ago and have owned 5 kits so far.

The top hoop on each tom-tom is not a Rogers hoop and the bass drum hoops are not original. The rest that I can see is Rogers including what appears to be hex rod floor tom legs.

It looks as if it either came with no cymbal mount on the bass drum or the mount is missing. If missing, it is probably a knobby mount because there is no large hole visible.

Beyond that, it looks to be the real deal. Lugs on the FT appear to be from a different era than those on the tom-tom - longer swivel nuts that protrude further from the lug itself on the floor tom (later Dayton vs Cleveland and early Dayton).

Good eye, Dan! I think you caught all the anomalies. Enlarging the pics, the FT legs are indeed hex and appear original, but the rubber feet/tips though look like modern replacements. Zooming in on the FT lugs, they appear to have C-clips, so they are probably Big-R era replacements (why?). Both bass hoops look like those generic metal hoops found on the modern import sets. Note that one of the faucet T-rods at the bottom of the bass reso head has been replaced with a Dayton or Fullerton flat T-rod. Other than these few minor hardware changes, the drums look great. I'd want to see the labels though before I bought them.

Just noticed the late Fullerton Dynasonic hiding behind the tom. It would be nice to have a better look at that. Is it included in the sale? Good luck with the purchase Alex.

Good catch on the C-clips Mike! Lugs probably replaced due to corrosion.

Dan is the local Rogers guru here, and he's right about the little details. This would be considered a player's set, and yes, they are 100 per cent real other than the changed parts.
