Default Sick of drum pics? Post a pic of your favorite "side-dish" here.

Here at the VDF we are all obviously connoisseurs of fine vintage drums to one level or another, but I'm betting that many of you are a little like me. I have some really interesting non-drum gear too, and a real reverence for fine gear of all kinds, anything that makes, records, or plays back beautiful noise.

So as not to stray too far from the primary purpose of the VDF, please post pictures with vintage drums in the background if at all possible.

I'll go first...this is a pic of one of my favorite guitars and a cool up-cycled tube amp.

It's a Fender custom shop Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth) signature model Jazzmaster. I'm not a big Sonic Youth fan, but the guitar is amazing. Nothing but a three position selector and a volume knob, none of those pesky little toggle switches. The amp head is an old HP signal generator that was modded into a 35 watt 6V6 tube amp called The Knob. Naturally the big knob is the volume. The speaker cab is my own creation, I gutted an old oscilloscope and fitted it with a vintage JBL D120F speaker and put a sound sensitive LED panel in behind where the CRT used to be, so when you play, the lightning flashes along with the music. I know it's kinda nerdy, but hey I'm physics teacher.
