Default Gauging interest: Slingerland Lites kit

1992 Slingerland Lites HSS-era drumkit.
Hard to come by, as not a lot of these show up for sale

Red Gloss Stain finish
No issues with shell finishes or bearing edges. No pitting on chrome. These drums look practically new.

Ridgeland SC gold badges
6-ply 6mm/7mm Thin Maple shells made by Jasper
Isolators on all lugs
45 bearing edges, reduced diameter shells, StickSaver hoops

17x22 bass drum w/tom mount plate. Has XLR and mic mount installed (not May/EA)
10x12 tom w/mount plate (a very tiny bit of rash)
11x13 tom w/mount plate
17x16 floor tom w/legs
7x14 snare w/double tension, extended snare wires

original Slingerland-branded Evans CAD/CAM clear reso heads on toms
original Slingerland/Evans EQ Genera heads on bass drum
plus Humes & Berg fiber cases for all drums

I'm thinking $2200?

Nice looking kit, but why is there so much "splay" on the snare tension rods? Is that just a photographic illusion?

The undersized shell is causing the splay.

People worry about splay...it's silly. These drums have seriously undersized shells. There's going to be splay. There's also going to be an explosion of sound coming out of these drums that will eat most kits for lunch. I gigged a violin red lacquer Slingerland Lite kit in the early 90s for several years straight...they were killer drums that just exploded with fat, juicy tone. These are killer drums. GLWS.

Thank you Treviso1. Yes, these are killer-sounding drums. They were modeled after the 1990s SonorLites, with the thin shells and Sonor-esque sizes.
