Default Ludwig drum kit ID help please :)

Hey guys, I bought this kit for $600. I am assuming itís a 1970 Black Cortex, although the long lugs are different to all the pictures Iíve come across. The serial numbers are #1764815.

Any info would be great.

Cheers!

I can't really make out the badges in the photo... but I'm going to assume they are pointy (versus the rounded) edge blue/olive badges, which would then put this kit in the '70-'75 era, and would be from the Mach line (versus the '80's era with the rounded B/O badges).

Here's a reference link for ya: http://www.vintageludwigdrums.com/machseries.html

Looks like you've got two mounted toms and are missing the floor tom for the kit?

Thank you for the reply!

Yes it has the pointy edges (have attached pic).

The guy I bought it off split up his 8 piece. I had a choice of the 12,13,14,15 to go with the 22 bass. He kept the 16 floor.

I love the off sizes, so I took the 13 and 15x12, which Iíll use as a floor Tom (I play jazz/funk mostly)

Cheers!
