A big "Thank you" to Rotarded and funkypoodle! I knew there would be members with some information. This is exactly what I like about this forum. Regardless of how "trivial" a question may be, it's great to get to the bottom of it!

From the DFO link provided by funkypoodle, I've copied the information provided by member "cribbon"...

I have a Kansas City Drumworks brochure (picked up at PASIC convention sometime in the 90's). Info says: Kansas City Drumworks, 1827McGee, Kansas City, MO 64108 Ph: 816-471-3786/ Fax: 816-471-4334

From the brochure:
"What started as a small retail/repair shop has grown into one of the music industry's booming custom drum connections.

Our new 20,000-sq ft manufacturing facility is designed to meet the rising demand for our products. We at Kansas City Drumworks are committed to the art of building drums the only way they should be: one at a time...

Owners: Gary Boyle, Darron Henderson, David Molton, Herb Naster"

Not to keep droning on this, but here's a link found on our own forum! http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=23491

Some quick internet research found that they were Keller shells with Pearl hardware, which the pictures in the above link show.

I did see this. I think we can put this baby to bed. Hopefully this will be helpful for the next cat (surprising how challenging this was).

Thanks again!

For many of us, it's all about the challenge!

Very interesting that another kit has surfaced! Still, the seller is dreaming to believe the kit is worth anywhere near the asking price!

I was thinking the exact same thing, Mark. A mind is a terrible thing to waste (lol).

Good investigative reporting, gents!

I am always amazed that some of these "custom drums" have the most generic looking lugs on them.
