Default Rogers Dynasonic ID Help?

I am a high school percussionist, and my band director asked me to look at all of the snare drums and tune them. Most of the snares didnít stand out to me, except for one. There is an old looking Rogers Dynasonic with the serial number 21646. Is there a way for someone to tell me what year this drum is from? The page for serial number identification by year wonít open for me.

Thanks

JD,

Your Dynasonic is from the transition period when Rogers was moving from Ohio to Fullerton California, about 1969-1970. The date of manufacture doesn't really matter as all the Dyna's of this period (sometimes referred to as the "Swivo" period) were pretty much the same... chrome over brass shell and snares mounted to a fixed snare frame. Which raises the more important question... "does your Dynasonic still have the original snare frame?" If it does, you'll need these guidelines on setting up and tuning a Dynasonic:
