Default Vintage Octobans - Ludwig?

Hi Guys
My friend has some octobans that were given to him along with on 80s Ludwig kit.
I have no idea what these are. They appear to have Ludwig lugs that match the kit but could have been added later.
There are no badges or markings on the shell to identify their story.
The lower 2 pitched octos were resprayed by myself. The 2 higher pitched are as they were when reveived but look to have previously been painted too.

They are metal shells and look mostly silver inside.
Photos have been attached.

Any ideas on age/brand and of course value would be appreciated.
Thanks
Adam

Just a guess, but I'd say they're Tama's.

Were anyone else making metal Octobans back in the 80s?

Certainly Tama and from the 80's. I have 70's Acrylic Octobans, and the lugs are different. And I know in the 90's when they came out with the Starclassic line, they changed lugs once again. And Ads - up until fairly recently only Tama was making Octobans. Some smaller companies tried, but to no avail. Even now, Pearl has a 4 set of " Rocket " Toms and DDrum has their 10 set of " Deccabons ". Fantastic drums though if you enjoy the sound. And aside from the blemishes on the shortest one, they look in great condition. Original stand and all.

Yeah, I've seen at least 3 different types of lugs that Tama used on their Octobans so far.

I have been though all 1980s tama catalogues and can not see octobans with these lugs.
The lugs however do look like late 1980's Rockstar lugs so may have been factory fitted at one time or possibly replaced to match another kit.
I think I will spray the 2 smaller ones so they match and then offer online and see what happens.
Just with I had the space to use them in my setup!

You're spot on with them being Rockstar lugs. I wanna say they made these mid 80's They used Royalstar / Swingstar lugs for a while. They seem to first appear with the Rockstars in 1988. So my guess is they did the lug change when they no longer had other sets with the previous model lugs.
