Thanks for sharing this gem, and all the others you post. The engineering on this one is impressive. I like how the loose ends of the batter snares pass through a felt strip to prevent them from vibrating against the interior of the shell. Lot of thought went into the design of this drum. Any idea what the retail price was on this in the 1950's. Seems to be a high-end model marketed for the professional concert or orchestral percussionist. Thanks for sharing. Mike

1968 pink champagne holly wood and downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family. |
