18" pre-trans / second stamp 1257 grams.
Found on ebay, as is, for super cheap. No surprise there. It would have weighed about 1349 grams before the repairs. Someone also took a power sander to it and removed most of the lathing from the top. The bottom was spared. Pretty dry, but I love it. |

18" US / pre-trans / second stamp swish, 1137 grams.
Found at the Chicago Drum Show in 2018. I ran into some Zildjian reps and showed it to them. They wanted to make me an offer right there so that they could put it in the company museum. I declined, as I doubt I will ever see another one of these. |

19" trans stamp type 3 1501 grams.
Some rough stuff on the edge, but no cracks. Ridiculously thin. Explosive crash that seems to open up on its own. Possibly the best crash I've ever heard. I'm working on a recording set up, but we just found carpenter ants in the house so....yeah. Priorities. |

20" trans stamp type 3, 1730 grams.
Spent the last eight years looking for one of these at an affordable price. Really dark patina. |

22" trans stamp type 1, 2241 grams.
The score of a life time. Simply unreal sound. Buttery crash. Opens up easily, very flexible, wobbles. Perfection. |

26" trans stamp type 4, 3630 grams.
There's not a lot of info out there on old cymbals this size. When I received this cymbal, it assumed it was thin, as it is the same weight as many 24" cymbals. After some research, I found a video of a 26" 50s A on youtube with the original ink stamp stating "ex thin". I contacted the owner, and he said his weighs 3918 grams. [URL="https://youtu.be/c7wQZf0o2ko"] Under the bell of my cymbal is written $92.00. I assume that is the original price, but it is only a guess. Technical info aside, this cymbal is a unicorn that I've been after for a few years. It was worth the wait. It's as musical as it is unique. |
