Hi all,
I have a 1966 Ludwig Club Date 20" bass drum. It has the mount for the cymbal arm, but no arm. I would like to add the arm, but I am unclear on what fits. I found a great deal on a new Ludwig L1372 arm, without the mount, which is exactly what I need. I would go vintage, but everything I find is either cheap and really beat up, or in great shape and costs too much. This would be an online purchase, so I can't see first hand if it fits. My question is, will the new arm fit in the old mount? I have searched the forum and can't seem to find the answer anywhere. My apologies if the answer is out there and I am missing it. I do know this would make the drum somewhat less original, but I am not too concerned about that. A previous owner has already removed the wrap and painted it black (insert Rolling Stones lick here ![]() Any info is appreciated, thanks guys!! Last edited by MojoFilter; 09-07-2014 at 11:22 AM. Yes, the L1372 is 9.5mm and should fit.
Nice replacement... Last edited by Olimpass; 09-07-2014 at 11:52 AM. |

Excellent, thanks for the info! I know a lot about Rogers drums, but I am still a total Ludwig newbie. I have only had this bass drum for about a month now. I plan to add some mismatched Club Date toms to it, for a funky frankenstein kit. I also want to add an Acrolite to the practice set, and I wish I could buy the one PurdieShuffle has up for sale right now. That one is sweet!!
Anywho, thanks again! |
