I have a '65 Slingerland 14x20 kick drum that has a bent t-handled tension rod.
Is there a place I can get a replacement that will look like the originals? Or...is there a good way to bend them back? Thanks, --steve |

steve,
i've seen them on ebay recently, they sell the originals in singles, search on slingerland, you may get lucky. |

How bad is the bend? You can try putting it between two blocks of wood in a vise and try getting the bend out. Good luck

I was able to straighten out a '66 Ludwig Bass t-rod. I place the rod on a wooden block, covered the rod with a folded towel, and tapped it lightly with a hammer until it was straight. It was quite simple.
Or, as stated, they are on e-bay..... |
